The show opened with local band The Conwaves, who excited the crowd with their favorite hometown hits.

CEO of the D Las Vegas and DLVEC, Derek Stevens, took the stage in a customized Daughtry jacket to introduce the night’s headliner and welcomed bloggers attending the Vegas Internet Mafia Family Picnic. The Belgian statue Manneken Pis also geared up for the night with a tailored suit to match the style of Stevens.

The famous American Idol finalist opened the set with the band’s newest single “Baptized,” followed by songs “Feels Like Tonight,” “It’s Not Over” and “Over You.” For a special treat, Daughtry covered heart-pumping classic “Coming in the Air Tonight” by Phillip Collins. Enthused fans danced and cheered as the group performed favorites “Life After You,” “Battleships,” and Billboard chart-topping hit “Home.”

Located at the corner of Third St. and Carson Ave. across from the D Las Vegas, the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center can accommodate up to 15,000 guests and features state-of-the-art sound and lighting. The open-air design is inviting to both tourists and locals and offers the perfect spot for concerts, conventions and other large-scale events. Embracing the uninhibited spirit of Downtown Las Vegas, the new venue will play host to a line-up of curated events including premier concerts, food festivals and more.
