This special show will feature a wide variety of guest performers including: Zowie Bowie (Vocalist), Shayma Tash (Comedienne), Michael Goudeau (Juggler/Clown), Rusty Hamilton (Harmonica), Nino Frediani (Juggler), Tim Molyneux (Vocalist), Chris Randall (Street Magician), Jenny Lynn (Violin), Douglas “Lefty” Leforvich (Card Act), Peter Pavone (Impersonator / Vocalist), Harry Basil (Prop Comedian), Skye Dee Miles (Vocalist), Gallagher (Comedian) and Paul Shortino (Rock n’ Roll Vocalist)! Photographer Khanh Nguyen captured today’s visit and said, “It’s a rare thing to see a celebrity spokesperson for a charity to be so committed, but that’s the case with Murray & Chloe. In preparation for the ‘Begging For Magic!’ Charity show benefiting the Friends For Life Humane Society, the couple took time away from their busy schedule and drove over an hour from Vegas to Parumph to visit the no-kill shelter. They came to tour the facility and capture footage to be used as pre-show clips. Showing a much deeper side to his magician-comedian persona, Murray was very down to earth, methodical, meticulous, and direct in his approach to producing the needed footage. You can definitely see that this is a cause that is very dear and near to Murray & Chloe’s hearts.”

“When ever I support something it’s so important to KNOW what you are supporting… so me and Chloe went out to shoot video and take photos of all the dogs that will be available to adopt on Wednesday August 14 at The Tropicana. Since we can’t bring all the dogs inside the hotel, actually because of the casino laws we can’t bring any dogs inside the hotel… there will be a video rolling for the first hour when people walk in, with dogs they can adopt… they will see a great photo of them, their age, name and breed. Then, just before show time there will be a pre-show video showing the audience WHY they are sitting in the audience for this charity and where their money is going. I know there is a very sad and emotional side to any animal rescue, but Wednesday is about the positive side of rescues and how great they are for our community.
Also it’s important to know that this shelter has survived almost 10 years on it’s own without much recognition and I along with my wife Chloe really want to be the ones to put them on the map. The shelter is now a really nice facility thanks to a silent partner that has funded the whole operation because he cares… and the staff love their jobs. It’s important not to confuse how nice the place looks NOW… with how much the shelter still needs funding. The shelter looses about $50,000-$70,000 a year as it’s a non-profit shelter and it’s an expensive operation to run a place as large as theirs.
Me and Chloe are animals lovers to begin with but to use our little bit of fame we have to bring a bit of awareness is more rewarding that any television show or award I have won over the last 25 years and the reason I am doing this is because of the WORKERS that give their ALL everyday and THEIR story and why they are there. It touched me so much I had to do something! Ron, Robert, Terre, & RJ are just great people with hearts made of gold! The show is for them and the dogs!
