Comedy Magician Murray had a milestone night on Wednesday at the Laugh Factory in Tropicana Las Vegas. His mother, Arlene Sawchuk and father, John Sawchuk finally saw him perform LIVE in Las Vegas (Pictured: Murray (center) poses with his parents, Arlene and John).

From Murray’s early days performing kid’s shows and birthday parties in Vancouver, BC where he was raised, this was quite a different show for his parents to see.

When Murray had his Red Carpet opening in May 2012, his parents were about to board a plane to fly down to see it but his father suffered a stroke the day before the flight. Murray said, “It was a blessing in disguise that it happened before they got to Vegas and back in Canada where he could get immediate care.”

After 44 days in the hospital and 7 stints in his heart, John is stronger than ever and in Las Vegas for the holidays. Tonight was the first time his father John got to see his show at the Tropicana Las Vegas along with Murray’s mom Arlene – John’s wife of 51 years!

Murray added, “To walk on stage and SEE my Dad alive and WELL for Christmas was enough, but to see him sitting in the front row of my own show on the Las Vegas Strip with my mom… is priceless and a memory I will never forget and cherish for a lifetime!”
Murray’s Dad also missed Chloe and Murray’s wedding because of the recovery period from his stroke, so next week after Christmas Murray and Chloe will be redoing their wedding party photo to include his Dad.
