Nevada Champions Crowned at Nathan’s Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest at New York-New York Hotel & Casino

Pablo Martinez took top male honors by eating 26 hot dogs in 10 minutes
Pablo Martinez and Carlene LeFevre were named “Nevada Hot Dog Eating Champions” and have earned a spot to compete on the Coney Island stage on July 4. During the 10-minute competition, Martinez took top male honors, finishing 26 hot dogs while LeFevrewon the female division, eating 13 hot dogs.

Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department won the local heroes competition by consuming a total of 33 hot dogs
In the local heroes competition, Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department defeated Nellis Air Force Base and the lovely women of FANTASY at Luxor by consuming 33 hot dogs and winning $1,000 for the Injured Police Officers Fund.

The Nathan’s Famous International Hot Dog Eating Contest has occurred each July 4 in Coney Island, N.Y. since 1916, the year Nathan Handwerker opened the legendary restaurant.
