New Year’s Eve at the Palms Casino Resort
Celebrities started their New Year off with dinner at Vegas’ hottest restaurant, Simon at Palms Place (Photo credit: Melissa Arseniuk). Diners included Michael Phelps, Benji Madden, Marco Andretti and Brody Jenner who brought along girlfriend 2008 Playmate of the Year Jayde Nicole and his mother Linda.
While dining on a menu including citrus braised short ribs and charred edamame, the group drank shots of patron and snacked on chef Kerry Simon’s signature junkfood platter. Later that night, Phelps headed to The Pearl Concert Theater inside the Palms Casino Resort to take in the Kid Rock show.
At midnight, along with a sold-out crowd, Kid Rock counted down to midnight and launched in to Sweet Home Alabama as thousands of balloons fell from the ceiling and confetti shot out across the crowd.
Kid Rock hosted an after-party at the Playboy Club at the Palms. Michael Phelps went to Moon Nightclub where he had a VIP table on the dance floor.
