The festivities will include a special appearance by the Las Vegas Pipe Band to kick off the event; celebrity guest appearances by cast members from Magic Mike Live, Tenors Of Rock and Absinthe, including starlet Melody Sweets, who will shave Las Vegas Entertainment Writer John Katsilometes’ head; Mark Shunock, host of Mondays Dark and owner of The Space; Terry Fator of Terry Fator: The Voice Of Entertainment and more and entertainment such as balloon art and face painting and a raffle with exciting prizes.

Kathleen Ruddy, chief executive officer for the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, said, “Cancer claims the lives of more children in the United States than any other disease. Funds raised at head-shaving events are crucial to find better treatments and cures for all childhood cancers. We’re thrilled to continue our partnership with New York-New York and have the Las Vegas community join us in the fight against childhood cancer once again.”

Last year, New York-New York’s St. Baldrick’s Day event raised more than $200,000 for childhood cancer research and this year the property aims to reach another record breaking number of donations and participants to benefit St. Baldrick’s Foundation.
