Human Nature, Australia’s biggest boy band in the 1990’s, and today the most successful vocal group in Australia’s history, recently returned from Down Under where their new CD, GIMME SOME LOVIN’ debuted at #1 on the Aria Chart (Australia’s equivalent of the Billboard Chart). In addition to their numerous hits and platinum records, the acclaimed vocal group has also performed and toured with artists such as Celine Dion, Michael Jackson and Olivia Newton-John.

Kym Johnson and Human Nature, which consists of brothers Andrew and Mike Tierney, Phil Burton and Toby Allen, have a history that goes way back to knowing each other in school in Sydney. In fact, Kym and Mike Tierney were classmates as far back as pre-school – so it was an Aussie reunion in Vegas.

Robert and Kym were brought on stage for the “Dancing with Human Nature” section of the show where they performed a “dance-off” reminiscent of their time as partners on Dancing with the Stars. They danced the “Twist” and the” Whip/Nae Nae” and loved it – as did the live audience getting to watch their former dancing partners on DWTS and now newlyweds hit the dance floor once again.

Human Nature inks new three-year deal to stay at The Venetian Las Vegas

“Jukebox” will see Human Nature’s foursome, Toby Allen, Phil Burton and brothers Andrew and Mike Tierney, backed by a dynamic seven-piece band and world-class dancers, as they celebrate a mix of pop classics with doo-wop, boy band with Bandstand, soul standards with Motown… and even some “Uptown Funk.” “Jukebox” is not only a playlist of the group’s influences, but some of the most-loved hit songs from the best vocal artists and groups of all time, including “Will You Love Me Tomorrow,” “Stand By Me,” “Unchained Melody,” “Dance To The Music” and “Under The Boardwalk.”

“We’re incredibly excited to be doing this brand new show,” said Andrew Tierney. “We were looking for a new creative challenge and, when we presented our ideas to The Venetian they embraced it.”

“Over the past three years, Andrew, Mike, Toby and Phil have become wonderful additions to The Venetian family.  We couldn’t be more thrilled about Human Nature ‘Jukebox’. Their talents extend further than simply Motown and we can’t wait for guests to experience this new show,” said George Markantonis, president and chief operating officer of The Venetian, The Palazzo and Sands Expo Convention Center.

Human Nature’s “Jukebox” will explode with not only the Motown hits they have famously reinterpreted such as “Dancing In The Street,” but also soul standards like “Gimme Some Lovin’” and “(Your Love Keeps Lifting Me) Higher and Higher,” plus old and new pop hits in “Twist And Shout” to today’s chart toppers such as “All About That Bass” and “Shake It Off.”  They show that this “Jukebox” plays everything from The Temptations to Meghan Trainor, from The Beatles to Bruno Mars.

The “Jukebox” concept was inspired by Human Nature’s Australian platinum-selling album of the same name, which will be released in North America in 2016. The album was executive produced by the legendary Bob Rock (Michael Bublé/Metallica) and was co-produced by David Pierce (Michael Bublé /Robbie Williams). Pierce joins Human Nature at The Venetian as a musical collaborator for the “Jukebox” experience.

One of the world’s seminal “Boy Bands,” Human Nature will include hits from their own music catalog, as well as a host of fan favorites, while still paying homage to past pop masters. Audience members can expect to hear the songs from Backstreet Boys and the Bee Gees alongside The Beach Boys and Boyz II Men, among others.

“We’ve always been incredibly focused on Human Nature and on our live shows and how we are represented as artists,” explains Phil Burton. “We pinch ourselves as four Australians to be so heartily embraced by American music fans. To have such incredible support from The Venetian and the US music industry is humbling and it motivates us to bring our best five nights a week. We’ll be playing music from all eras, and we’ll throw in some Motown and some music from our pop career and the ‘boy band’ days. We’ll be highlighting what ‘boy bands’ have been like through the ages – not only a guilty pleasure of great songs, but a jukebox unto themselves.”

SPI Entertainment will produce the new show with Human Nature. “We have been proud to be partners with Human Nature since we first brought them to the USA over six years ago,” said SPI Founder & CEO Adam Steck. “They are the embodiment of what it means to be entertainers and we cannot wait for Las Vegas audiences to experience our new show with them. Human Nature never disappoints.”

The “Jukebox” residency is another high for a group that has been together since school days and are now celebrating their 26th year together. Human Nature has previously hit the top of the charts in Australia and the UK and have a staggering 25 platinum awards to their credit. Career highlights include playing to a global audience at the Sydney 2000 Olympics. Human Nature was handpicked to travel the world opening for Michael Jackson and Celine Dion and have collaborated frequently with the likes of American icon Smokey Robinson. “The members of Human Nature are extraordinary vocalists who truly know how to entertain,” said Smokey Robinson. “If you haven’t seen them perform you need to, it’s a real treat.”
