The party-filled weekend began at Body English Nightclub & Afterhours with an electrifying DJ set by Nick Valensi of The Strokes on Friday, Jan. 11. The famous guitarist hit the turntables and celebrated his birthday early as Body English’s staff presented him with a custom-made cake created in the shape of a vintage-looking Carr amplifier. DJ Chris Masterson, also known for his role as Francis in Fox’s “Malcolm in the Middle,” joined Valensi on stage and took over the stylings for the night.

The nightclub was packed with athletes and fans from the 5th Annual World Mixed Martial Arts Awards, which had taken place earlier in the evening at The Joint. DJ TJR was also present and greeted admiring fans graciously with autographs and photo opportunities. The popular DJ ended the night on a high note as he turned up the noise in the DJ booth in front of the star-studded crowd.
