Old School 105.7's Love Affair Concert Brings Romantic Old School Jams to Orleans Arena Feb. 9
Highly-acclaimed funk, soul, R&B and old school entertainers from the 1970s and 1980s, including Midnight Star (pictured), Color Me Badd, Tierra, Ready 4 The World featuring Melvin Riley, Evelyn Champagne King, The Jets, Malo, Peaches & Herb and Blue Magic, will bring romantic throwback hits to Old School 105.7’s Love Affair Concert at the Orleans Arena on Saturday, Feb. 9. 

Formed in 1976 at Kentucky State University, Midnight Star burst into the electro-funk music scene, releasing their debut album “The Beginning” in 1980. The group went on to release more records, including the double-platinum album “No Parking on the Dance Floor,” establishing Midnight Star’s members as world-renowned entertainers. Midnight Star continues to impress fans around the world with performances of their top hits, including “Operator,” “Freak-A-Zoid,” “Don’t Rock the Boat,” “Headlines,” “The Midas Touch” and more.

Color Me Badd formed in 1985 releasing their debut R&B album “C.M.B.,” selling more than six million copies worldwide and earning certified triple platinum status in the United States. The group has released a string of chart-topping hits, including three No. 1 singles and 17 Top 20 hits like “I Adore Mi Amor,” “All 4 Love,” “Thinkin’ Back,” “Slow Motion” and more. Throughout the group’s career, Color Me Badd has sold more than 12 million records in the United States and is known internationally in various countries, including Australia, Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand and the United Kingdom. Color Me Badd has won numerous awards, including an American Music Award, Soul Train Music Award and a Smash Hits Poll Winners Award in the United Kingdom.

Celebrated Latin R&B group Tierra started their musical career in East Los Angeles in 1972. The vocal group quickly became known for their ability to blend rock, pop, jazz R&B and salsa in their music, producing their classics “Together,” “Gonna Find Her,” “Memories” and “Zoot Suit Boogie.” The band continues to bring their smooth and soulful sounds to audiences around the world, performing in prestigious venues, including Carnegie Hall.

Rounding out the show’s lineup are Ready 4 The World featuring Melvin Riley, Evelyn Champagne King, The Jets, Malo, Peaches & Herb and Blue Magic.
