Oprah Winfrey, Pat Sajak, Alex Trebek to be Honored at 38th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards

The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) will honor Oprah Winfrey with the Chairman’s Crystal Pillar Award for changing the face of daytime television on the Sunday, June 19 at the 38th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards telecast.

Winfrey just ended her award-winning “The Oprah Winfrey Show” after a successful 25-year run.

Lifetime Achievement Awards will also be presented to hosts Pat Sajak and Alex Trebek, by Peter Marshall and Vanna White.

“In honoring Pat and Alex, we’re honoring not only two of the great game shows throughout the history of television,” said Daryl Cohen, Chairman, NATAS, “but two individuals whose talent and personality have given us an additional reason to tune in and watch.”

30-year game show host Pat Sajak of “Wheel of Fortune” has won three Outstanding Game Show Host Emmy Awards, a People’s Choice Award and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

“Jeopardy!” game show host Alex Trebek has hosted “Jeopardy!” for 27 years and has been awarded five Outstanding Game Show Host Emmy Awards and has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Prior to the Awards ceremony on Sunday, June 19, Emmy Award-winning star of “All My Children,” Susan Lucci, will be signing copies of her new book “All My Life” at the Las Vegas Hilton. The signing will take place in front of Tempo Lounge on Saturday, June 18 from 3 p.m. – 5 p.m. Books will be available for purchase in the Paradise Gift Shop or at the signing (cash only) at the Las Vegas Hilton.
