Pac-Man Battles Its Way into Casinos as Bandai Namco Entertainment Inc. Joins Forces with Gamblit Gaming
Gamblit Gaming, LLC and BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment Inc. will launch a one-of-a-kind casino experience with PAC-MAN Battle Casino. Considered to be among the most recognized video game characters of all-time, PAC-MAN originally launched in 1980 and has become one of the longest running video game franchises in arcades and virtually every game system ever made.
PAC-MAN Battle Casino will feature cutting-edge real-money gaming mechanics as 2-4 players battle each other for a cash prize, while retaining the fun and retro maze gameplay that has made PAC-MAN a fan-favorite around the world. The original Japanese development team behind PAC-MAN Battle Royale is teaming up with Gamblit Gaming on a co-development project to bring PAC-MAN Battle Casino to life on casino floors in early 2018 on Gamblit’s Model G interactive game tables. They are also planning to develop an all new single player PAC-MAN experience for Gamblit’s TriStation hardware.
“Like so many people, PAC-MAN was the first arcade game I ever played,” said Darion Lowenstein, Chief Marketing Officer, Gamblit Gaming. “Partnering with the visionary team at BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment Inc. to bring an entirely new and innovative experience to fellow PAC-MAN fans is truly an honor and a dream come true for me. PAC-MAN has been a huge part of our culture and has grown to become so much more than just an arcade game. With PAC-MAN Battle Casino, we’re adding another level of excitement to the classic PAC-MAN experience by bringing fans into the modern arcade – the casino.”
“PAC-MAN is one of the most famous and popular video games,” said Yoshiyasu Horiuchi, Executive Officer, AM Business Unit of BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment Inc. “In 2005, it was featured as the Most Successful Coin-Operated Game in the Guinness Book of World Records. So, we believe PAC-MAN Battle Casino will appeal to a wide range of people, especially those who once played PAC-MAN. We are also thrilled to see PAC-MAN Battle Royale get transformed into a real-money and skill-based game, PAC-MAN Battle Casino.”
PAC-MAN Battle Casino will make its world debut at the Gamblit Gaming booth during the Global Gaming Expo (G2E), the largest international gambling trade show and conference, October 3-5, 2017. The game will be fully playable on Gamblit’s Model GTM multi-player platform as well as on a large format arcade experience system, as attendees will go head-to-head for prizes as four PAC-MAN fight to be the last one standing!
