Park MGM Introduces New Mixology Class at Juniper Cocktail Lounge
Juniper Cocktail Lounge at Park MGM is giving cocktail connoisseurs and novices alike the chance to get behind the bar and hone their skills during the new Juniper Cocktail Lab series. This interactive monthly mixology course, led by a member of MGM Resorts’ talented mixology team, will kick-off on April 6.
The two-hour, 15-person course will provide a fun, immersive experience in which guests can explore the rich history of cocktail culture and receive a crash course on the quintessential “golden ratios” used as the foundation to craft any great drink. Trainees also will put their new-found skills to the test as the master mixologist guides each participant through a hands-on demonstration of three classic cocktails, behind the fully stocked bar. Each master mixologist will provide a personalized experience, sharing tips and tricks for easy bartending including how to properly use bar equipment, as well as a behind-the-scenes look into beverage operations and menu development at one of Las Vegas’ top lounge destinations.
“One of my favorite parts of Juniper Cocktail Lab is that guests can continue the experience even after class ends,” said MGM Resorts International Corporate Mixologist Craig Schoettler, who developed the curriculum. “It’s intentionally designed to give everyone the necessary tools, resources and knowledge to easily craft exceptional libations at home or share their new talent with friends at their next get-together.”
Juniper Cocktail Lab is now accepting reservations for its April 6, May 18 and June 15 classes, held from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. Reservations are required and priced at $150 per person, plus tax and gratuity. As a special takeaway, each participant will receive a souvenir booklet of the curriculum along with a mixology kit, complete with a shaker, strainer, jigger, tweezers, a citrus peeler and bar spoon.
