Rampart Casino Opens Doors to New Bingo Room

Rampart Casino Opens Doors to New Bingo Room
In conjunction with its 15-year anniversary and “15 Years of Fun” initiative, Rampart Casino officially opened the doors to its long-awaited Bingo Room on Saturday, April 19.

Rampart’s Bingo room is a first class operation with a huge, well-lit room, easy-to-read wall displays, electronic handheld devices, complimentary cocktails and the friendliest, most helpful staff in town!

If you know what Triple Postage Stamps, Nine Packs and Coveralls are, this is the place for you. And if you don’t, no problem. The target pattern is always displayed at various locations around the room.

The last time I played Bingo was with my grandmother when I was a kid in Chicago. Grandchildren were frequently brought along to help find and mark the called numbers on a table full of paper cards. The games were very slow-paced.

But modern games are fast! About 15 games are squeezed into a one-hour session. You can still manually mark paper cards with a dauber but thanks to new electronic technology, you can optionally use a gadget similar to an iPad that lets you play up to 84 cards simultaneously! No numbers to mark, it keeps track of everything for you and beeps if one of its internal Bingo cards is a winner.

Games are often linked to each other. For example, when a person wins a Coverall Bingo (all spots on the card are marked), the next game picks up where this one left off. You keep playing the same card until another person hits a Coverall, and after that another.  I’m not sure when all these innovations were introduced but they add a lot of excitement and fun to the games.

“Bingo is something we’ve wanted on property for a while,” said General Manager Michael Gaughan, Jr. “It’s finally here, and our players and staff couldn’t be more eager to see it up and running.”

In December 2013, Rampart Casino executives came together to celebrate the room’s groundbreaking and the resort’s expanded gaming lineup. Since then, the casino has hired experienced Bingo Manager Joanne Farwell to lead the operations including the hiring of personnel, creating 12 additional jobs for the community.

“It’s an honor to be a part of such a milestone for Rampart Casino,” said Farwell, “And we’ve got an incredible team that will work diligently each day to offer the best experience for our players.”

The 300-capacity attraction, located adjacent to Rampart Casino’s Buffet, offers top-of-the-line technology with a FortuNet, Inc. BingoStar system, personal cocktail service and a non-smoking section. Each day, there are six one-hour sessions of bingo including “Twice the Daubin” and “Triple Coverall” sessions. Sessions are held at 11 a.m., 1 p.m., 3 p.m., 5 p.m., 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. daily.

The Bingo Room is open daily from 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Guests must be 21 years or older with a valid form of identification to participate. For more information on Rampart Casino’s gaming options, please visit www.theresortatsummerlin.com.
