Rí Rá Las Vegas Leads the Fight Against Childhood Cancer with a St. Baldrick’s Head-Shaving Fundraiser on Saturday, March 3
Rí Rá Las Vegas, located inside The Shoppes at Mandalay Place, hosts its seventh annual head-shaving event on Saturday, March 3 from 12 to 4 p.m. to raise money for the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, which helps to provide funds for research to find cures for childhood cancers and give survivors long and healthy lives. This year, the pub’s goal is to raise more than $10,000.

Registered attendees will go bald in support for the fight against childhood cancer while donating money to the cause. This year, players from the Las Vegas Lights FC will serve as celebrity head-shavers for participants between 12 to 1 p.m. For the rest of the event, local hairdressers will volunteer their time to shave. In addition, the Diddley Idols, a New York City based Irish American party band currently enjoying a short-term residency at Rí Rá, will provide entertainment throughout the afternoon.

Those looking to make a bald statement can register online to have their head shaved at Rí Rá, or to donate time or money to the cause. Once registered, volunteers will raise funds for the St. Baldrick’s Foundation by encouraging donations from friends, family and anyone willing to spare some change to make a change. Those wishing to keep their hair can donate funds online or at the pub during the event.

Rí Rá will also host a special menu on Saturday, March 3 from 12 to 4 p.m., where 20 percent of those food purchases will be donated to the cause. In addition, the pub will host a raffle where guests can purchase tickets for the chance to win a variety of gifts throughout the duration of the event, along with a social media giveaway. Guests who come in and take a photo and post on use Rí Rá’s Facebook (@RiRaLasVegas), Twitter (@RiRaVegas) and Instagram (@riravegas) with the hashtag #StBaldricksRiRa will be entered to win fun prizes, such as free drinks, appetizers, a Guinness Store experience and more.

During its seven years of participating in the event, Rí Rá has raised over $90,000 for the St. Baldrick’s Foundation and lifesaving childhood cancer research.
