Rick Springfield’s entry into the music world came at what many believe was the perfect time. While recording his pop/rock album “Working Class Dog” which would produce the #1 hit “Jessie’s Girl” in 1981, he was cast to play Dr. Noah Drake on “General Hospital.” The same year, MTV debuted and changed the dynamic of the music industry forever and played his videos non-stop. His fans followed him on the radio, on television and watched him perform in his music videos.

In 1985, after years of touring, recording and acting, Springfield took time away from the business to welcome his first child. He would release two albums in the coming years, but not return to the stage and the tour schedule until 1998, when he began performing again to sold out crowds.
