Riviera Hotel Welcomes The Metal King and Monsters of Rock to Honor 35th Anniversary of Elvis Presley’s Death
The meshing of two legendary genres of music hits the stage at Riviera Hotel & Casino as The Metal King and the Monsters of Rock perform on Friday and Saturday, Aug. 17 and 18, as well as Aug. 31 and Sept. 1.

The band performs twice nightly ~ 9 and 11 p.m. ~ with the late show offering a different playlist from the earlier show. The performance on Aug. 17 will be a tribute to their inspiration, Elvis Presley, who passed away 35 years ago Aug. 16. The Metal King and the Monsters of Rock will be giving away free scarves that resemble the famous scarves that Elvis wore on stage.

“The Metal King has performed at Riviera Hotel & Casino quite a few times and the energy they bring to the stage is second-to-none,” says Mark Massimino, director of entertainment at the Riviera Hotel & Casino. “Their unique blend of classic Elvis tunes with heavy metal favorites creates a 90-minute, unforgettable musical experience that we are proud to host.”

A sampling of The Metal King and the Monsters of Rock set list includes “Don’t Be Cruel/Sweet Child O’ Mine,” “Hound Dog/Your Mama Don’t Dance” and, fittingly, “Viva Las Vegas/Crazy Train”.

Admission to the performances is free with a two drink minimum. All guests must be 21 years of age or older. Meet-and-greets are available with the band immediately following the 11 p.m. shows.
