Robin Leach to Celebrate 50 Years of Showbiz Scoops and Exclusives at Surrender Nightclub

On Friday, September 9, Surrender Nightclub at Encore Las Vegas fetes Robin Leach as he celebrates his 50th anniversary working as a journalist.

“Robin is an iconic media personality and we are thrilled to be celebrating his monumental career in journalism,” said Sean Christie, co-owner and managing partner of Surrender Nightclub. “We are planning a fun-filled evening of special surprises for him.”

For the past 10 years, Leach has been dishing celebrity scoops in Las Vegas. Currently, his daily Luxe Life blog appears on Las Vegas Sun, Las Vegas Weekly and VegasDeluxe.com websites.

Leach’s illustrious career has included being host and executive producer of one of the most popular syndicated television shows in America, Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous. Each week, viewers were brought into the lives of the world’s wealthiest and most glamorous people including celebrities, business tycoons and royalty.

Leach came to the United States from England in the early 1960s, working first at the New York Daily News and then writing the first People Magazine cover stories. He was the first showbiz editor of The Star , working there for a decade before joining Entertainment Tonight as its globe-trotting reporter. After three years, he decided to start his own show, Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous, which ran for 14 incredible years before he led the on-air team that launched the Food Network.
