Sha Na Na may not have invented rock nostalgia, but the group has successfully celebrated the music and the memories for the past three decades in concert, in movies and television and on records. Sha Na Na’s story is an all-encompassing one as they were in the original Woodstock Festival, hosted the “Sha Na Na” TV series for four years, released more than 25 albums with worldwide sales of more than 20 million and still play more than 100 concerts a year worldwide. The group was even featured in the film “Grease” playing the band “Johnny Casino and the Gamblers.” Band member “Screamin’” Scott co-wrote the film’s memorable love song “Sandy” sung by John Travolta. Through it all, Sha Na Na remains true to the original concept: rock ‘n’ roll is here to stay!
