Rodney Dangerfield Tribute to be Held at The Laugh Factory in Tropicana Las Vegas on Friday, Nov. 22
The Laugh Factory
will honor late comedian Rodney Dangerfield at the Tropicana Las Vegas on Friday, Nov. 22, 2013, which would have been Dangerfield’s 92nd birthday.

The Respect Rodney tribute will be held in the same comedy showroom that Dangerfield launched in the mid 80’s and is now the new Laugh Factory Las Vegas room.

Rodney’s Place, a comedy club at the Tropicana, served as the setting for Dangerfield’s HBO special Opening Night at Rodney’s Place, which starred greats such as Tim Allen, Jeff Foxworthy, John Fox, and Thea Vidal.

The Laugh Factory will reserve the late comedian’s favorite booth, The Rodney Booth, to display memorabilia from Dangerfield’s career and personal life. The Rodney Booth will include comedy albums, rare photos, handwritten notes, a life-sized statue, never-before-seen material Dangerfield had prepared for The Tonight Show and The Howard Stern Show, and much more.

“Rodney Dangerfield is one of the most familiar faces in comedy,” said Harry Basil, who opened for Dangerfield for 17 years and was his writing partner. “His voice, his face, and his unique material left an imprint on this business forever”

Basil, who will host the event, will share rare footage of Dangerfield on film sets and in concert. Brian McKim, who recently performed on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, is also on the bill. Joan Dangerfield, Rodney’s widow, will be in attendance with more special guests to be announced.

To purchase tickets or for more information on the event visit the Laugh Factory website, www.laughfactory.com.

The Laugh Factory is a comedy club with locations on the Sunset Strip in Hollywood, Long Beach, California, Chicago, and inside the Tropicana Las Vegas.
