Boyd Gaming Executive Chairman Bill Boyd will be joined by his grandson, Staff Sgt. Cowboy Santa and Mrs. Claus, along with the Chaparral High School Choir, will join this year’s festivities.

“Over the years, the display at Mystic Falls has become a cherished holiday tradition for families throughout the Las Vegas Valley,” Bill Boyd said. “I am thrilled that my grandson will be able to join us in kicking off the holiday season to Sam’s Town, and we look forward to welcoming everyone to our Winter Wonderland.”

The pioneer-themed Mystic Falls Park Light and Water Show, transformed into an immersive winter wonderland experience, begins in Sam’s Town’s porte-cochère with festive lighting and decorative snowflakes leading to Mystic Falls Park. Garland streams, wreath-adorned lampposts, and white light and snow-covered trees fill the atrium, while Cowboy Santa takes up residence in the Park’s gazebo.

Poinsettias, red garland, ice crystals add to the themed visuals, while the main fountain will host an ice sculpture. Lighted sculpture polar bears and indoor snow create a whimsical magical winter wonderland experience in the heart of the Boulder Strip.

For the first time ever, Sam’s Town will be hosting the 15-minute laser light spectacular hourly during the holiday season, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. through January 1. And from November 25 to December 23, Cowboy Santa will appear Thursdays and Fridays from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m.

In addition, to help members of the Armed Forces stay in touch with loved ones during the holiday season, Sam’s Town will once again host a drive for the Cell Phones for Soldiers Program, accepting donations of used cell phones, chargers and other accessories from October 26 through November 21. Each phone donated to the program will provide an hour of talk time to soldiers abroad. To date, the non-profit organization has raised almost $2 million in donations and distributed more than 500,000 prepaid calling cards to soldiers serving overseas.

Guests can drop off used cell phones, chargers and other accessories at the B Connected Club at Sam’s Town. All participants in the promotion will receive a two-for-one coupon for Sam’s Town’s Firelight Buffet.
