Score Big at RHUMBAR’s World Cup Kick Off Parties

Brazilian BarbecueRHUMBAR, located at the The Mirage Hotel & Casino, will celebrate the World Cup with viewing parties and new hand-crafted cocktails for most games from the first match on Thursday, June 12 through the final game on Sunday, July 13 (Pictured: Brazilian Barbecue cocktail – Photo credit: Peter Harasty)

The new World Cup cocktails, made by RHUMBAR’s mixologist, Lillian Hargrove, include the Brazilian Barbeque cocktail, a smoky, sweet rendition of the traditional caipirinha, made with a touch of sea salt to elevate the layers of flavor; and the Leblon Cachaca, made with Lagavulin single malt rinse, rock candy syrup, lime cubes and fresh watermelon juice.

The opening match is the highly-anticipated Brazil vs. Croatia match at 1 p.m. on Thursday, June 12. Starting with that game, RHUMBAR will show all of the World Cup games with the exception of those starting at 9 a.m.

Other new cocktails made by Hargrove include the 17th Battalion, a Brazilian twist on the classic French 75; and the Friendly Neighbor, a Chilean and Peruvian-influenced cocktail featuring the grape-based Pisco distillate. To add to the excitement, Funkin Gooaall! shots, which Hargrove describes as “a tropical twist on a Tom Collins,” will be passed out each time a goal is scored throughout the tournament.

RHUMBAR is a highly stylized cocktail and cigar lounge inspired by the cool mood of the Caribbean. The plush outdoor patio is reminiscent of a tropical retreat offering a picturesque location for guests to mingle, sip cocktails and smoke cigars. Located near the main entrance of The Mirage, RHUMBAR is owned and operated by Drive This! Entertainment.

The lounge and patio are open from noon until 1 a.m. Sunday through Wednesday, and noon until 2 a.m. Thursday through Saturday. For more information about RHUMBAR, visit www.rhumbarlv.com.
