Officials from Las Vegas Events and the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) joined city leaders and Fireworks by Grucci today on the 50th floor of the VooDoo Rooftop Nightclub overlooking the Las Vegas Strip to announce the details for America’s Party 2014, the citywide New Year’s Eve Party planned for Dec. 31.

The firing locations include (from the south, heading north): MGM Grand, Aria, Planet Hollywood, Caesars Palace, Treasure Island (TI), The Venetian and Stratosphere.

As a culmination to a full year of planning, Fireworks by Grucci has coordinated an 8 minute, 23 second program. At midnight, more than 10,000 circuits will be initiated to fire the intricate sequences from the seven locations along the Las Vegas Strip. Each circuit is controlled to deliver split second pulses of electricity to ignite in excess of 80,000 pyrotechnic devices loaded on the rooftops.

The performance opens with ten seconds of dramatic pyrotechnics rising up from the Stratosphere Tower, as the clock counts down to midnight. The fireworks will continue from all seven properties with the traditional New Year’s Eve song Auld Lang Syne, followed by a Las Vegas classic from Frank Sinatra and Bing Crosby, entitled Well Did You Evah. The fireworks choreography will be another unique Las Vegas-style program with an exhilarating music mix. The show will feature barrages of pyrotechnic flashes, salutes and rapid-fire aerial shells. The soundtrack continues with hit songs, including Wild Ones by Flo Rida, Feel this Moment by Pitbull and Christina Aguilera, Blurred Lines by Robin Thicke and Diamonds by Rihanna. The Grucci finale plays Stomp To My Beat by JS16 with scintillating chrysanthemums and barrages of titanium flash salutes that rattle the night sky, concluding the program.

“There’s no better place to spend New Year’s Eve than Las Vegas,” said Las Vegas Mayor Carolyn G. Goodman. “This is a place where anything can happen, and I invite everyone to visit our rejuvenated downtown where you can experience the fun and energy of the Fremont East Entertainment District and Downtown Third as well as the excitement of the world famous Fremont Street Experience.”

“America’s Party has become one of the destination’s iconic events,” said Las Vegas Events President Pat Christenson. “It is our goal each year to produce a world-class display that will amaze the thousands of revelers on the Strip and those watching around the world. This production would not be possible without the cooperation between the LVCVA, Las Vegas Events, Fireworks by Grucci, the Clark County Fire Department and Development Services & Fire Prevention, LVMPD, Las Vegas Fire & Rescue and the individual resort properties.”

According to the LVCVA, Las Vegas continues to be a huge draw for a New Year’s Eve celebration.

“More than 330,000 visitors will ring in the New Year in Las Vegas because they know there is no better place to be,” said LVCVA Chairman and Clark County Commissioner Tom Collins. “Vegas is the perfect setting for America’s Party, and we’re ready for another world-class celebration.”

Fireworks by Grucci is world renowned for its pyrotechnic creations. The group recently created the spectacular Grand Opening of the Atlantis Hotel and The Palm Jumeirah in Dubai and has executed numerous presidential inaugurations and citywide celebrations. Locally, Fireworks by Grucci has produced many of Las Vegas’ largest special events and grand openings, including the official Las Vegas Centennial celebration.

“The Grucci family is honored and proud once again to work with Las Vegas to paint the sky with a tapestry of color and bombardment that only Fireworks by Grucci can deliver,” said Phil Grucci, president and CEO of Fireworks by Grucci. “As we leave 2013 in the past and enter 2014, America’s Party will come alive with music, parties, good wishes and the most spectacular fireworks in the country. We rest out reputation for six generations on this year’s performance which promises to be a more than spectacular welcoming to the year 2014.”
