Simon at Palms Place Launches Decadent Yet Casual Sunday Brunch

On New Year’s Day, Simon at Palms Place invites guests to dine in their PJ’s. The new restaurant from Kerry Simon, Elizabeth Blau and George Maloof, launches a whimsical Sunday brunch in an amazing setting unlike any other in Las Vegas. Rock-n-roll chef Kerry Simon adds his signature flair and humor to traditional brunch items, creating a menu that is both delicious and memorable. Guests can sit in the main dining area with floor to ceiling views of the Palms Place pool, or poolside on the Simon patio, while they are attended to by pajama-clad wait staff. Want more fries? Simply select the appropriate sign at your table to request “Frites Please” or “More Beignets.” Multiple televisions throughout the restaurant broadcast football games and cartoons, and pajamas are the encouraged attire.

The $38 per-person menu is served each Sunday after New Year’s from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm and consists of enticing buffet stations including a fun “White Trash” table, Sushi and Candy Bar, a variety of à la carte items and a Bloody Mary bar. The diverse brunch items offer something for every craving, and the $12 menu for those under age 12 makes Simon at Palms Place the ideal family brunch destination.

To start the meal, guests receive warm beignets and can then choose from buffet stations or à la carte menu items. The Panini and Thin Things Station offers exotic grilled cheese sandwiches such as brie & honeycomb and a selection of cheese and charcuterie. Smoothies and fruit sushi are available at the Fresh Fruits Station, where all the large fruit is peeled, seeded and sliced to order. Here, guests will also find a fresh salad bar where they order by checking off ingredients on a card to create a custom salad that is delivered to the table. At the Sushi Station, guests can select assorted sushi, sashimi and rolls. The “White Trash” Station has such guilty pleasures as ambrosia salad, fried chicken in a basket with waffles, pigs in a blanket and deviled eggs.

À la carte dishes include Simon French toast on frosted flake crusted brioche and breakfast sliders on mini bagels with crisp bacon and American cheese. Omelets and eggs are made to order with a selection of fresh seasonal ingredients and a variety of sides such as hash browns, biscuits & gravy and creamed spinach.

In addition to brunch beverage staples like bellinis and mimosas, guests can create their own Bloody Mary at the Refreshing Beverage Station where they will find different vodkas, several juices ranging from sweet to spicy, chopped cilantro, parsley, an assortment of vegetable garnish and glass rimming options such as crumbs, salts and spice blends. For those looking for a healthier option or a quick hangover cure, the Antioxidant Station offers a “flight” of antioxidant juices, whole-wheat blueberry muffins and high antioxidant fruits and vegetables.

Brunch at Simon would not be complete without an elaborate Candy Bar Station where guests can find vintage lunch boxes and large glass jars filled with candies. Upon finishing, each table receives the chef’s signature junk food dessert platter, which includes cotton candy, snowballs, cupcakes and rice krispie and fruit loop treats.

Chef Simon incorporates a sense of adventure and whimsy into all of his restaurants, and Simon at Palms Place’s new brunch is a perfect reflection of the chef’s spirit and humor. Simon at Palms Place is located at Palms Place Hotel & Spa at Palms Las Vegas, 4381 West Flamingo Road, Las Vegas, NV 89103.
