Society Café Introduces Seasonal Menu and Extended Late Night Hours

The temperature is rising and Society Café Encore Managing Partner and Executive Chef Kim Canteenwalla has introduced new seasonal items perfect for hot days and steamy nights.  The offerings range from light and healthy dishes ideal for swimsuit season to indulgent treats, with options to satisfy every craving. The additions are a perfect complement to Society Café’s signature menu favorites.  Keeping up with the longer days the restaurant has also expanded its late night dining hours to fuel guests well into the wee hours of the morning.

Cocktails are the ideal way to keep cool this summer and Society Café presents two concoctions for the season. Delicious, a blend of raspberry, ginger, agave and citrus flavors; and Refreshing, which combines cucumbers, basil, mandarin and chartreuse, are libations that live up to their names.

New entrees include caramelized sea scallops that sit atop a bed of watermelon and arugula salad with pancetta and Minus 8 vinegar, mediterranean seabass with a panzanella salad and broken roast tomato vinaigrette, and lamb two ways with a double cut chop and burger patty along with a corn cake and succotash. Mother and child reunion is an inventive twist on the chicken and the egg, pairing a Jidori chicken cutlet and braised lollipop leg with poached egg accompanied by bacon, arugula and royal trumpet mushrooms.

Chef Canteenwalla introduces all american pot stickers, giving classic flavor combos such as the griddled ruben, bbq pulled pork & virginia slaw and philly cheesesteak an Asian slant.

Joining Society Café’s sweet favorites, the warm donut bites and XXXL chocolate cake, are the new whoopie pies—chocolate and coffee pies with marshmallow center and a Bailey’s float.

Society Café has also extended the late night dining hours on Friday and Saturday. Packed with munchies such as the mac’ ‘n’ cheese bites, lollipop chicken wings, flatbreads and burgers, the menu served from 11 p.m. to 3 a.m. is certain to satisfy after a long night of dancing at the adjacent Surrender Nightclub and Encore Beach Club entertainment complex.

Society Café Encore was named one of Esquire magazine’s “Best New Restaurants of 2009,” and offers re-imagined classic American cuisine in a casual, fun and dynamic atmosphere.  Open for breakfast, lunch, dinner and late-night bites, Society Café Encore makes three-square meals hip in an equally stylish setting ideal for both locals and visitors.
