welcomes the New Year with a jam-packed lineup of nonstop entertainment from crowd favorites, including The Alley Cats, Wes Winters, SPAZMATICS, Gregg Austin, “Peace, Love and Rock and Roll” and special headliner Michael Cavanaugh performing his “Rock ‘n’ Roll Songbook.” 

Tickets for South Point’s New Year’s Eve celebrations go on sale today, Sept. 18 at 12 p.m.

HEADLINER: Michael Cavanaugh’s Rock ‘n’ Roll Songbook

  • 10:45 p.m.; Doors at 8 p.m.
  • Dinner at 9 p.m.

Michael Cavanaugh will take over the South Point Hotel Grand Ballroom to headline the evening and ring in the New Year with special guest The Alley Cats. Handpicked by Billy Joel to star in Piano Man, Cavanaugh is considered the new voice of the American rock ‘n’ roll songbook. Throughout the evening, Cavanaugh will have guests dancing into 2016 to the famous tunes of rock n’ roll icons Jerry Lee Lewis, Billy Joel, Elvis, Elton John and many more. The sweet doo wop sounds of The Alley Cats will get the party started from 8 to 10:45 p.m. Tickets for Michael Cavanaugh’s Rock ‘n’ Roll Songbook include a four-course dinner, open bar, party favors and a champagne toast at midnight.

New Year’s at Noon: The Alley Cats

  • 1 p.m.; Doors at 12 p.m.
  • Tickets: $19

The Alley Cats return to the South Point Showroom for “New Year’s at Noon” with the group’s signature doo wop sound. Guests will have the opportunity to enjoy the ‘50s iconic music and signature songs such as “Don’t Be Cruel,” “Come Go with Me” and “Goodnight Sweetheart.” Tickets include party favors and a champagne toast.

Wes Winters

  • 5 p.m.
  • Free and open to the public.

Wes Winters will stun crowds with his exceptional vocal, stage and piano abilities in the Grandview Lounge. Winter’s excellent talents will have crowds on their feet and celebrating 2016 with his top hits such as “That Old Black Magic,” “Hold Me, Thrill Me” and “Going Out Of My Head.”

Rockin’ M Town with Gregg Austin

  • 10 p.m.; Doors at 9 p.m.
  • Tickets: $59

South Point Showroom will host Gregg Austin and his Rockin’ M Town beats to ring in the New Year. Guests will enjoy the everlasting sounds that forever altered the world of music as they dance 2015 away. Highlights include “I’ll Be Around,” “Just My Imagination” and “My Girl.” Tickets include two drinks, party favors and a champagne toast at midnight.

‘80s Night with the SPAZMATICS

  • 10:15 p.m.; Doors at 9:30 p.m.
  • Tickets: $69

The SPAZMATICS will take over South Point Hotel’s Exhibit Hall B on New Year’s Eve for the best ‘80s dance party in Las Vegas to welcome 2016. Guests will be wowed by the SPAZMATICS’ world class musicianship, tight choreography and contagious energy as they dance the night away to the top hits from the ‘80s. Tickets include an open bar, party favors, hors d’oeuvres and a champagne toast at midnight.

Peace, Love and Rock and Roll

  • 10:30 p.m.
  • Free and open to the public.

South Point’s Grandview Lounge will host a ‘70s-inspired show, “Peace, Love and Rock and Roll,” to ring in the New Year. Guests will enjoy an assortment of ‘70s top rock ‘n’ roll hits throughout the evening, including “Stairway To Heaven,” “Stayin’ Alive,” “American Pie” “Walk This Way” and many more.
