Sublime with Rome bring Reggae-Rock Vibes to the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center
Sublime with Rome, the popular musical collaboration between Sublime’s very own Eric Wilson and singer/guitarist, Rome Ramirez, brought the sounds of Long Beach to the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center on Friday, October 14th (Sublime frontman Rome rocks out DLVEC – Photo credit: the D Hotel Casino).

The concert attendees were cheerful and hyper as they swarmed into the venue from all across the nation to see their favorite reggae-rock band perform amidst the Vegas lights.

The night started off with an awesome performance by reggae-rockers, One Pin Short. Spawning from Vegas, the band’s set was infused with hometown love.

Next up were The Expendables. Their diverse mix of reggae/ska/surf rock bode well with the crowd – a large portion of the crowd were caught “skanking” to the music. Such exciting opening acts left the crowd eager for more as they waited for Sublime with Rome to take the stage.

D Casino Owner Derek Stevens took the stage to announce Sublime with Rome just before the house lights dimmed as the band started off their set with some covers of songs from Sublime’s six times platinum self-titled album.

They then temporarily grooved out of the past and into the present with performances of their own current hit songs such as “Wherever You Go” and “Panic”.

The highlight of the night was when the audience stole the spotlight during the epic encore of “Santeria”. The crowd belted the familiar chorus in unison as the show came to a close.

The bands had an opportunity to pose for some fun photos with Derek Stevens, and his wife, Nicole. The fun continued at the D Casino Hotel’s world famous LONGBAR, the go-to Downtown party spot.
