Tacos & Tequila Celebrates Dia De Los Muertos and Halloween with Four Day Long Celebration
Tacos & Tequila at Luxor Las Vegas will celebrate Dia de los Muertos and Halloween with four days of festivities starting Friday, Oct.28, to Monday, Oct. 31.
Kicking off on Friday night, T&T will start the party with an energetic DJ set by resident DJ Mika Gold and continue to Saturday night with another set by a resident DJ. T&T will host its signature Mariachi Brunch Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. with a festive twist. The brunches will feature Halloween songs by T&T Mariachi band, “The Kings of Cuervo,” and T&T will also unveil its Eye Candy cocktail, only available through Halloween. The spooky spirit priced at $12 is made with Grey Goose Le Citron, X Rated, Limoncello, pineapple juice and garnished with a “lychee eyeball” made out of a lychee, blueberry and raspberry puree.
The Dia de los Muertos celebration will continue into Monday with T&T’s delicious $5 Happy Hour from 2 – 6 p.m. featuring $5 Jose Cuervo shots and Dos Equis Lager. T&T will also have $5 well drinks, red and white house wines, sangria, fiesta nachos, habanero wings, chicken quesadilla, flautas and guacamole.
Named one of the best tequila bars of 2011 in America by USA Today, Tacos & Tequila embodies the cool modernism of Mexico City while incorporating traditional elements of Mexican style and Las Vegas flair. The color mixture of old and new creates a vivid picture of brushed aluminum, dark wood, leather, bright fabrics and colored glass. The focal point of T&T’s design is its abstract sombrero composed of 20 brushed-aluminum panels featuring thousands of laser-cut images, including two 30-foot dancing, tequila-drinking skeletons. Lit from within, the breathtaking panels stretch across the entire length of the restaurant floor and across the common area, connecting the T&T retail store and walk-up daiquiri bar.
Tacos & Tequila, a highly-stylized Mexican restaurant and bar with a fun, high-energy vibe and flavorful menu is located at Luxor Hotel and Casino. The 8,000-square-foot venue is open daily from 11 a.m. until 11 p.m. for lunch and dinner, as well as for a Mariachi Brunch every Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. The design embodies Mexican culture, and the flavorful menu is a collaboration between the talents of world-renowned restaurateur and chef, Richard Sandoval, and Executive Chef Saul Ortiz.
