After delivering an unexpected level of fury to packed crowds at the 2014 Coachella festival, Rolling Stone would hail their performance as “the Messianic moment of Coachella.”
It was this show that gave root to their 10th album Hidden City. Released in early 2016, Hidden City is the final chapter of a trilogy of albums encompassing their acknowledgment of the global community within a metaphor for our spiritual and intimate interior lives. Hidden City features Astbury’s signature baritone with Duffy’s smoldering, textured guitar tones that the band has become known for, creating a musical environment that is both fearless and peerless.
