The D Las Vegas Rings in the New Year Like No Other
When people think of New Year’s Eve, they automatically imagine what it would be like to celebrate in the heart of Downtown Las Vegas. The Fremont Street Experience consists of five blocks of pure fun- all of the casinos, parties, and free live entertainment one can ask for (Pictured: NYE 2019 Fremont Street Las Vegas – Photo credit: the D Las Vegas).

Take all of that fun and amplify it, and you’ll have New Year’s Eve in Downtown Las Vegas. One of Vegas’ hot spots, the D Las Vegas, threw a huge New Year’s Eve celebration right in the center of the Fremont Street Experience

The D’s 12th floor ballroom, adorned in classy red and gold details, was filled to the brim with hundreds of the D’s VIP guests. One of those guests included Horny Mike, star of History Channel’s hit reality show, Counting Cars. If there was a “best dressed” category, it’s fair to say Mike’s glittering gold mohawk alone was one of the biggest statement pieces.

The guests were shocked and pleasantly surprised to see Mike join in on their New Year’s Eve party, and snapped endless selfies all throughout the night. They all enjoyed a buffet filled with top-notch entrees from the property’s award-winning Italian restaurant, Andiamo, as well as an open bar and live entertainment.

The D’s owner, Derek Stevens, welcomed the crowd and gave a toast moments before the entire ballroom participated in a live viewing of Times Square’s traditional ball drop. Celebrating the east coast new year was just the beginning of the night’s entertainment, as 40,000 guests filled the Fremont Street Experience.

Top Vegas performer Zowie Bowie put on an incredible performance on the third street stage, right outside of the D, all the way ‘til the highly anticipated countdown on Viva Vision- the world’s largest video screen cascading above Fremont Street.

The event was MC’d by Mayor Carolyn Goodman, former mayor Oscar Goodman, and Fremont Street President Patrick Hughes.

Derek Stevens, his wife Nicole, a couple of family members/guests, including reality stars Horny Mike and Ryan Evans, all watched from the comfort of the D’s VIP box that overlooks Fremont. What a night.
