Through the years he has lent his unique voice to some of the biggest names in rock music from fronting Scars on Broadway with Daron Malakian and John Dolmayan both of the band System of a Down to lending vocals to Camp Freddy and even Slash’s band. Perez’s music can be heard on the FX television series “Sons of Anarchy” – a relationship that continues to this day with Perez working on music for the fifth season in a row as well as performing live with the Sons Of Anarchy band The Forest Rangers featuring Katey Sagal. In 2012, Perez was bestowed the honor of being the vocalist for The Doors at the Sunset Strip Music Festival in Los Angeles.

Franky Perez has always been a prolific artist but 2013 may be proving to be the most creative of his career. He has begun work on his third studio album entitled ADDICT which may be the most honest music he’s ever written…his own very personal journey of love, loss and vices – three things he knows only too well. Perez was recently awarded Best Free Show from Vegas Seven magazine’s 2013 “Best of the City.”

Date: Tuesday, March 11
Artist: Keith Kavula and the Withdrawals
Time: 10 p.m.
Cost: FREE
Genre: Jam
Description: In 1994, along with Andy Dunn (guitar, vocals), Keith Kavula formed The Withdrawals. While they list the likes of Widespread Panic, Dave Matthews and The Allman Brothers as musical influences, The Withdrawals’ sound is more inspired by such jam band heavy weights than it is a copy of them, creating the music that Keith and his band have come to describe as “Tribal Urban Desert Music.” While The Withdrawals’ hypnotic grooves and gorgeous guitars were quickly making them favorites on the jam band circuit, it was Keith’s uniquely soulful, soaring vocals weaving through the music that could turn it into something almost otherworldly.

Cost: FREE

Description: Front man Peter Monroy grew up in the California sunshine of Los Angeles raised by a family of talent. His father was a classically trained tenor and as early as the age of 10, Monroy’s flair for drums, guitar and keyboards began to blossom. At 13, he joined his first band playing drums in a Beatles cover band and at 17, while at a recording session for the band “Shiro,” the singer didn’t show up. Monroy wrote the song they were recording, so he figured he might as well sing it! In 1998 he moved to Las Vegas and by 2000 he had played many local clubs and casinos. Monroy went on to perform in every top casino lounge on The Strip and his genuine love of music and performing has made him a hit with locals, visitors and even hotel staff.
