The Hilarious 7 Opens at Hooters Casino Hotel Night Owl Showroom in Las Vegas July 17
On Tuesday, July 17, Hooters Casino Hotel Las Vegas, in conjunction with Admit.VIP, will officially open its newest comedy production at The Night Owl Showroom, The Hilarious 7. The Hilarious 7 is a departure from typical stand-up comedy where seven comics will deliver an ‘all punchlines’ comedy bout (Pictured: John Hilder).
Hosted by Las Vegas veteran comedian, John Hilder, this hysterical comedy performance takes guests on a journey where seven comedians take the stage to showcase their best jokes in just 70 minutes. Bypassing the awkward hit-or-miss format of the standard comedy club experience, each comic only has a short time for their top jokes to win over the crowd. Each week, guests can experience different comics as they go head-to-head in an all-out battle to be dubbed the funniest comedian. The audience has minutes to love or hate each of the comedians, and they will decide who’s the funniest of the night in a winner-takes-all, no stakes, no rules, comedic battle.
“Comedy is truly like beauty and is in the eye of the beholder,” said Hilder. “There’s nothing worse than suffering through a 45-minute set of a comic that you’d prefer to whip out your phone and watch cat videos on YouTube – that’s the traditional comedy club model. The Hilarious 7 is a fast-paced, high-energy show and each comic only has mere minutes to make you laugh.”
Hilder leads this riotous production of all genres of seasoned comics from around the world, where guests will never know who is going to take the stage. Hilder was born and raised in the comedic hotbed of Salt Lake City but fled for the neon pastures of Las Vegas to pursue a life of comedy and sin. With his quirky wit, unparalleled originality and fearless attitude on stage, John quickly rose above the fray to become one of the most respected comedians in the city.
The Hilarious 7 is the brainchild of Hilder and Pete Housley, Executive Producer, who have previously worked together on Sin City Comedy & Burlesque, Comedy & Dolls and We Got Jokes. Housley is also the operator of the Night Owl Showroom at Hooters Casino Hotel.
“The Hilarious 7 is prescription-strength medicine for the short attention span of audiences,” said Housley. “The clock is ticking, and the pressure is on each comic to bring their A-game for the few minutes they have on stage. We’ve got some nationally known special guest comedians who will pop in for a quick set, along with some lesser known high energy comics – you never know who’s going to be on the roster, and we won’t know until minutes before each show.”
