The Improv at Harrah’s Las Vegas: This Week’s Headliner – Rich Shydner

Budd Friedman and Mark Lonow’s world-famous Improv Comedy Club at Harrah’s Las Vegas showcases a different marquee of acts each week.  Rich Shydner takes the stage tomorrow through Sunday, with supporting acts Jim McCue and Daryl Wright

Improv shows are at 8:30pm and 10:30pm every Tuesday through Sunday.  Tickets are $29.05 (plus applicable taxes) or $44.95 (plus applicable taxes) for VIP tickets that include special seating and an Improv t-shirt.  Special two-for-one tickets are also available for locals during the 10:30pm show.  Tickets are available at Harrah’s Box Office (702-369-5223) and online at www.harrahs.com.      

Rich Shydner is a veteran comedian who has made numerous appearances on the Johnny Carson, David Letterman and Jay Leno shows, while also starring in his own critically acclaimed HBO half-hour special One Night Stand.   He played Al Bundy’s co-worker on Married with Children and made guest appearances on many other TV shows, including Designing Women and Roseanne.  Shydner was also a writer for such shows as Roseanne, The Jeff Foxworthy Show, Blue Collar TV, Becker and Titus.  

Shydner was able to translate his modest success on TV into an equally modest film career, appearing in Steve Martin’s Roxanne and Eddie Murphy’s Beverly Hills Cop II.  Most recently, Shydner was the Co-Executive Producer and head writer for the HBO show, The Mind of the Married Man. He has written material for Jeff Foxworthy’s Grammy nominated comedy albums, Totally Committed and Big Fun.
