The Lion King Cast Celebrates Launch of Friday Performances at miX Lounge
miX Lounge inside THEhotel welcomed the cast members from Disney’s THE LION KING at Mandalay Bay as they hosted a night to remember celebrating the launch of new Friday performances (Pictured above: Kissy Simmons and Buyi Zama – Photo credit: David Becker/WireImage).
The 7:30 p.m. Friday night show will be ongoing as THE LION KING continues to perform six nights a week in the Mandalay Bay Theatre. The show is now dark on Monday.

Following their successful first Friday performance, cast members Kissy Simmons (“Nala”), Derrick Williams (“Mufasa”), Thom Sesma (“Scar”), Buyi Zama (“Rafiki”) and Jenali Remy (“Simba”) hit the carpet in sophisticated Sin City style. Simmons was more beautiful than ever in a sleek black jumpsuit and gold pumps while Zama glowed in a pin-striped shirt dress. The fashionable men each had their own unique style with Sesma rocking one-of-a-kind white gator cowboy boots, Williams in a smooth black suit jacket and vest and Remy in a distressed denim shirt and sneakers.

Inside miX Lounge, the cast members received VIP treatment as they danced and mingled with friends, family and fans. Recently celebrating THE LION KING’s one-year anniversary at Mandalay Bay, the talented performers raised their glasses and toasted to the show’s success and the excitement of new Friday night performances.

The cast enjoyed looking out from miX Lounge’s famed 64th-floor balcony as they paused to take in the most breathtaking view of the Strip in Las Vegas. Looking to get the party started, Remy twirled Zama and they swayed together back and forth as they danced to Taio Cruz’s “Dynamite.” It wasn’t long before the rest joined in, and THE LION KING cast had control of the dance floor. The beats were bumping and the party was popping as the theatrical stars continued the celebration late into the night, soaking up the atmosphere of most fashionable hotspot in Vegas.
