“The Man in Black, A Tribute to Johnny Cash” will bring the genre-spanning songs of the iconic singer-songwriter to the Suncoast Showroom Feb. 20-21.
Starring Shawn Barker, “The Man in Black, A Tribute to Johnny Cash” celebrates one of the most influential musicians of the 20th century and showcases the hits from Cash’s 50-year career.
With his influential bass-baritone voice, Cash won multiple Grammy Awards and produced more than 95 albums, including the chart-topping hits “I Walk The Line,” “Ring of Fire,” “Folsom Prison Blues” and “A Boy Named Sue.”
Barker began his musical career playing Elvis Presley in an all-Elvis tribute show. During one of his performances, he made a surprise appearance as Cash, and was later given his own tribute show called “The Man in Black, A Tribute to Johnny Cash.”
Since 2005, Barker has toured the United States, Australia and Canada singing and playing the harmonica and guitar for Cash fans around the world.
