The Stratosphere Announces Race Week 2011 Activities

The Stratosphere Casino, Hotel & Tower will host an array of weekend activities beginning with the Dale Earnhardt Foundation Celebrity Poker Tournament in the Stratosphere Theater of the Stars Showroom on March 2 at 4 pm. Kerry Earnhardt & Taylor Earnhardt, the eldest son and youngest daughter of NASCAR racing legend and seven time champion Dale Earnhardt, will host the event. Other NASCAR drivers scheduled to appear at the event are Matt Crafton, Eric McClure, Jeff Green, Carl Long, Mike Skinner, Jennifer Jo Cobb, Michael McDowell, Robert Richardson, Jr. and more.

NASCAR fans can support the foundation by playing in the poker tournament for a $150 entry fee that will be donated to the Dale Earnhardt Foundation. The Grand Prize winner will receive $2,500 in cash and Dale Earnhardt souvenir merchandise. Space is limited to the first 150 people who enter the tournament. Spectator tickets will also be available for a $20 donation to the foundation. The Stratosphere guarantees a minimum donation of $10,000 to the Dale Earnhardt Foundation. On Friday, March 4, there will be a free Meet the Drivers Autograph Session at 8:00 pm in the Back Alley Bar with NASCAR drivers Jeffrey Earnhardt, Mike Bliss, Morgan Shepherd, Shelby Howard, Dave Blaney, Matt Crafton, Jeff Green, Eric McClure, Robert Richardson, Jr., Mike Skinner, Jennifer Jo Cobb, Michael McDowell, Charles Lewandoski, Tommy Hill, and more.

Stratosphere ace|PLAY Club promotions were also announced today; now through Thursday, March 3, Stratosphere New Member sign-ups in ace|PLAY Club will receive a free ticket for Stratosphere Pole Day at Las Vegas Motor Speedway for only 25 points earned on their first day (maximum of 4 free tickets to each member). Also Wednesday, March 2 through Saturday, March 5, the NASCAR Race and Play floor promotion will offer players a chance to win NASCAR Race Tickets, SkyJump, Free Slot Play and NASCAR merchandise.

The # 13 GEICO Toyota driven by Casey Mears in the Sprint Cup Series and the # 14 Hefty Chevrolet driven by Eric McClure in the Nationwide Series will be on display in front of the property from Monday, February 28, through, Sunday, March 6.

The official licensed NASCAR vendor Rudy’s Inc. will be selling merchandise in the Tour & Travel Lobby from Monday, February 28 through, Tuesday, March 8. Items available include die-cast cars, jackets, t-shirts, hats and other driver merchandise.

The Stratosphere will also host the Women’s Auxiliary of Motorsports Charity Auction, Wednesday, March 2 through Friday, March 4 which will consist of a daily silent auction featuring autographed items from drivers including Dale Earnhardt, Jr., Danica Patrick, Ron Hornaday, Jeff Gordon, Jimmie Johnson, Denny Hamlin and many more.
