The Venetian and The Palazzo Team Members Celebrate Earth Day with Tree Planting and Park Cleanup
On Friday, April 22, team members from The Venetian and The Palazzo Las Vegas celebrated Earth Day at Freedom Park with a tree planting and park cleanup, held in partnership with Outside Las Vegas Foundation and the City of Las Vegas.
Team members from The Venetian and The Palazzo participated in the Earth Day event by planting trees and bushes and assisting in digging an irrigation trench that will water the new plants. In addition, the team members also contributed by cleaning up trash around the park.
To commemorate Earth Day, team members were provided with t-shirts that were made from recycled materials and were given potted plants to take home to spread this initiative beyond the resort and into the Las Vegas community. To further promote Earth Day, the signs on The Venetian and The Palazzo will be illuminated green on Friday, April 22.
Sands ECO360, the program that drives Las Vegas Sands environmental initiatives, is also sponsoring Earth Day Green Fest on Saturday, April 23, at Downtown Summerlin. Sands ECO360 will have a booth at the festival to educate the community about the company’s sustainable and philanthropic efforts.
The Venetian, The Palazzo, and Sands Expo are committed to making their properties, the Las Vegas Strip and the Las Vegas community a greener place. The company is dedicated to utilizing as many sustainability practices as possible, designed to help minimize environmental impact.
