The Venetian to Host Third Annual “All In For CP” Poker Tournament to Benefit One Step Closer Foundation Dec. 11
The Venetian Poker Room welcomes the “All In For CP” No Limit Texas Hold ‘em poker tournament benefitting the One Step Closer Foundation.
One Step Closer is a 501c (3) not-for-profit organization whose main goal is to ease, as much as possible, the lives of those who suffer from cerebral palsy through financial freedom and social acceptance. The tournament is the brainchild of Jacob Zalewski, who copes with cerebral palsy and hopes that through the foundation and events like these, a cure will be found.
“We hope to see a future where cerebral palsy is a thing of the past,” says Zalewski. “We know are getting one step closer to that vision everyday.”
The buy-in for the tournament is $500 plus $40 entry fee. Items will be auctioned off in a silent auction facilitated by Pacific Auction of Las Vegas.
Expected to attend and participate: Cheryl Hines (“Curb Your Enthusiasm”), Jason Alexander (“Seinfeld”), Mekhi Phifer (“Lie to Me,” “ER”), Sam Simon (creator of “The Simpsons”) Montel Williams (TV talk show host) and Donnie Wahlberg (“Blue Bloods”).
Poker Stars invited guests include Poker Hall of Famer Mike Sexton, Chad Brown, Nolan Dalla, Alan Cunningham, Gina Hecht, Brian Herskowitz, Melissa Hayden, Lupe Soto and Marsha Wagoner.
Guest Tournament Director is Dianna Donofrio-Trigatzi.
