Iconic musician and singer-songwriter Timothy B. Schmit of The Eagles will bring his best-loved hits to The Orleans Showroom on Friday, Nov. 24. 

Schmit’s musical career began in the 1960s, formerly performing as the bassist and vocalist for Poco and the legendary band the Eagles in the 1970s. Decades later, the rock star went on to pursue a solo career, winning over fans with his chart-topping hits “Boys Night Out,” “So Much Love” and “Don’t Give Up.” In 1998, Schmit was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of the Eagles.

Throughout his career, Schmit has collaborated with several celebrated artists on hit singles, including Toto’s “Africa,” Richard Marx’s “Don’t Mean Nothin’,” Bob Seger’s “Fire Lake,” Crosby Stills and Nash’s “Wasted on The Way” and multiple tracks by Steely Dan. Additionally, he has played internationally as a member of Jimmy Buffett’s Coral Reefer Band and Ringo Star’s All-Starr Band.

Most recently, Schmit released his sixth and latest studio album “Leap of Faith” in 2016, which mixes rock, country, Americana, R&B and reggae sounds, and includes the hit songs “My Hat,” “Slow Down” and “This Waltz.”
