Treasure Island Takes Top Honors at Magical Forest Gingerbread House Village Competition

The ship itself is made from traditional Austrian dough, the steps are made of chocolate, the windows are gumdrops and even St. Nick is a sugar creation. Snowy icing gives the creation a perfect winter look.
The Magical Forest is a major fundraiser for Opportunity Village, a nonprofit organization that serves people with intellectual disabilities. Its gingerbread contest draws competitors from across the city, and Treasure Island is honored to have taken the top spot.
The ship is on display at Magical Forest through the holiday season and a duplicate ship is on display at Treasure Island’s Buffet until January 1st.
