Vegas Golden Knights Fan Fest in Downtown Las Vegas

Vegas Golden Knights Fan Fest in Downtown Las Vegas
Downtown Las Vegas “scored” the ultimate NHL night! On Sunday, our very own Vegas Golden Knights held their first ever Fan Fest on Fremont Street Experience’s 3rd Street stage, right outside the D Casino Hotel. The hockey frenzy consisted of THOUSANDS of fans – from little kids with Chance toys, to grandparents with a new favorite team… this was a memorable experience for all ages! That’s what happens when the whole city is #VegasStrong

The D Casino Owner, Derek Stevens, and Fremont Street Experience President, Patrick Hughes started off the event by pumping the crowd even more and introducing our iconic athletes. Accompanying our Knights were: Chance the mascot (who made a grand entrance with Fremont Street Experience’s famous zip line, Slotzilla), the team’s head coach, Gerard Gallant, president, Kerry Bubolz, AND their CEO, Bill Foley! Not to mention, there was a wildly entertaining appearance by the lovely (and shiny) Knight crew!

Though there was an endless sea of 10,000 jerseys, the team made every person feel up close and personal by tossing T-shirts into the crowd, and walking down a red carpet that lasted for what seemed to have been a mile. The adorable Chance also high-fived his admirers while he posed for pictures with children AND their parents! Who wouldn’t want a photo with the generous Gila Monster? He IS number one, after all!

If that wasn’t enough downtown delight, there were also countless shooting cages for fans to test their talent!

As the hockey haven came to a close, the team headed backstage for interviews while they signed autographs for their fans (with gold pens, of course)! The D’s owner, Derek Stevens, took time to chat with all of them about his passion for the NHL and his casino’s partnership with the Vegas Golden Knights.

The excitement levels outside the D Las Vegas reached new heights at the first ever Vegas Golden Knights Fan Fest… and it’s only the beginning of their amazing journey. It seems like 2018 is starting off exceptionally for these guys, and their future is looking golden. Stay tuned, Sin City!
