Vegas is BUZZING about Day 2 of Las Rageous
After Las Rageous’ madly successful first day, the sun set, rose, and day two was already underway! Heavy metal superstars, Avenged Sevenfold, were the highly anticipated headliners. The bill also included Breaking Benjamin, Mastodon, Eagles of Death Metal, All That Remains, Escape the Fate, Nations, and Code Red Riot (Pictured: Las Rageous crowd watching Avenged Sevenfold inside DLVEC Las Vegas – Photo credit: the D Casino Hotel).

Thousands piled into the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center early in the afternoon, which was a familiar sight from the day before. Sexy “freak show” performers flung fire in the air, just as the bands did with their rage. Gavin Maloof, minority owner of Vegas’ upcoming NHL team, was spotted enjoying the two-night festival with friends. He was recognized by both locals and tourists, and graciously posed for some selfies.

As day turned to night, another thousand guests filled up the venue. Then, another thousand. The entrance was never barren as fans from all over the world poured into the downtown playground, dressed in their coolest rock attire. A remarkable crowd filled both DLVEC and 3rd Street to capacity as the top bands in hard rock permeated the Vegas night with familiar melodies (and angsty screams).

The crowds’ growing eagerness for Avenged Sevenfold finally reached an all-time high when synchronized chants of “SEVENFOLD” penetrated every eardrum within miles of the venue.

The Downtown Las Vegas Events Center owner, Derek Stevens, and his wife Nicole caught up with lead singer, M. Shadows, backstage, where Derek’s custom-made suit was all the rage. The tattooed rock star loved seeing his band’s name embroidered on the jacket of downtown’s main man!

Derek then walked into the spotlight and gave his most epic welcome yet, unleashing some of the fun rage that was inhaled all weekend at Las Rageous! Avenged Sevenfold blew the hypothetical roof off of the downtown venue as they made fans nostalgic with hits like “Afterlife” and “Unholy Confessions”.

The incredible, booming success of DLVEC’s first festival opens a whole new world of possibilities for the downtown venue. As soon as it ended, nostalgia had already sunk into the hearts of everyone involved. There’s no need to worry though; after all, Derek Stevens said it best: “Let’s make this the first-annual Las Rageous. Every year!”
