VÉRONIC Voices Announces Nevada Ballet Theatre as Charity Partner for “Lend Your Voice” Fundraising Campaign in October 2014
Vocal impressionist Véronic DiCaire will raise funds and awareness for her selected charity partner Nevada Ballet Theatre in October, as part of her “Lend Your Voice” campaign, a monthly goodwill effort for Las Vegas-based nonprofits.
During her performances from October 2 through October 18 at the Jubilee Theater at Bally’s Las Vegas, Véronic will encourage audience donations and provide information on Nevada Ballet Theatre’s mission from the powerful platform that is her stage.
“As a performer, I identify quite strongly with organizations that support the advancement of art – especially stage art and dance,” stated DiCaire. “Being able to use my ‘Lend Your Voice’ platform to raise money for Nevada Ballet Theatre is such a thrill for me, as it points directly towards my own personal passions.”
Nevada Ballet Theatre (NBT) seeks to inspire audiences of all ages, keeping the timeless art form of ballet at the heart of the community. As the Resident Ballet Company of The Smith Center for the Performing Arts, NBT celebrates its 43rd season with a versatile company of professional dancers, an affiliated Academy of over 400 students and a successful Education and Outreach program, Future Dance, which reaches over 10,000 students a year from underserved populations through its many initiatives.
The “Lend Your Voice” fundraising initiative was launched in May upon Véronic’s 2014 return to her headlining show, co-produced by Celine Dion, at Bally’s Las Vegas. Each month, a new charity partner is announced as the beneficiary of 100 percent of audience donations for that month’s set of shows. To date, Véronic has raised thousands for local organizations such as Opportunity Village, Olive Crest, Keep Memory Alive and Girl Scouts of Southern Nevada.
