Viva ELVIS Dress Rehearsal Benefits Operation Homefront Nevada

Operation Homefront Nevada is an organization providing emergency financial and other assistance to Nevada service members, their families, and wounded warriors when they return home. Over $51,500 was raised during the Viva ELVIS dress rehearsal and will be used to provide transitional housing for wounded warriors and their families, morale programs for Nevada military families, and emergency financial assistance for food, auto repairs, vision care, and household items.
Each of the Cirque du Soleil resident shows performs one annual dress rehearsal which historically was an opportunity to invite friends, family and business partners to attend the show for free. After several years, performers from La Nouba by Cirque du Soleil in Orlando, presented the idea of turning each rehearsal into a performance benefitting local non-profit organizations.
These greatly reduced-price tickets are sold only to Cirque du Soleil and MGM Resorts employees and their family and friends. 100% of the proceeds are then passed through the Cirque du Soleil Foundation US and the MGM Resorts Foundation to preselected local nonprofit organizations. Since the inception of the Dress Rehearsal benefits in 2004, employees of MGM Resorts International and Cirque du Soleil have donated more than $1.7M to local Las Vegas and Orlando charities.
The check presentation took place at the Elvis Theater at ARIA Resort & Casino.
