Vom Fass Offers a New Kind of Bottle Service on the Las Vegas Strip
It’s like a candy store for discriminating adults and those who enjoy the finer things in life. That is how entrepreneurs Kim and Gary Weiss describe the unique experience they are bringing to Las Vegas Strip with the opening of Vom Fass at The Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian Hotel & Casino.
At Vom Fass (German for “from the cask”) in Las Vegas, customers can literally taste flavors from around the world – including specialty spirits, wines, oils and vinegars. From the moment customers enter the store, they are immersed into an extraordinary culinary adventure.
“We offer more than a simple retail excursion. Our customers feel a sense of fun and excitement when they taste our products, but also learn the intriguing stories behind them,” said Kim Weiss, owner of Vom Fass Las Vegas. “Many customers visit our store as part of an evening out, as a focal point of a night on the town—we’re very much a destination.”
Casks of spirits are suspended throughout the store and include a variety of Scotches, Cognacs, whiskeys, brandies, liqueurs, Grappas and absinthes. All of the spirits are estate grown, most by fifth generation spirit producers.
Vom Fass Las Vegas offers a variety of vinegars from Italy, France, Spain and Germany, along with oils including extra virgin olive, nut and seed, health and cooking oils. The spirits, vinegars and oils are poured into re-fillable, environmentally friendly bottles straight from the casks.
In addition to retail sales of spirits and wine, Vom Fass Las Vegas offers tastings for a nominal fee: $5.99.
“Only at Vom Fass Las Vegas can you taste a 24-year old Bunnahabhain Scotch – a single-barrel, single malt Scotch, bought from a third generation Scotch broker, unadulterated by caramel coloring, un-chill filtered and 43 percent ABV,” added Weiss.
“After visiting us in the store, our customers’ experience doesn’t end. On our website, newsletter and social media I provide tips and expert advice on how to best use the products, along with regular updates of my very own tried and true recipes, including those using my favorite product, the Calamansi Balsam!” said Weiss.
Vom Fass Las Vegas is third location owned by the husband and wife team, who also own and operate Vom Fass stores in Jackson Hole, Wyo. and Sedona, Ariz. – both among the top performers in sales throughout the brand.
