You might have second thoughts about playing cards with magicians but don’t worry, Lance Burton, Mac King, The Amazing Johnathan and yes, even Mike Hammer himself will be on their best behaviour at the “Mike Hammer Celebrity Poker Tournament” May 26 at Binion’s in Las Vegas.
These famous magicians and a dozen more popular Las Vegas celebrities will be donating their time for veterans in this upcoming event on Sunday, May 26, 12-3:00pm.
Richard Gant, an actor with over 100 screen credits, will compete in the tournament. So will James Woods and Jeff Timmons, founding member of the Grammy-nominated pop group 98 Degrees. Also scheduled to appear will be The Tenors of Rock, hypnotists Anthony Cools and Kevin Lepine, TV and music artist Dirk Vermin, professional poker player Miami John Cernuto and Gady Medrano from A&E’s “Flipping Vegas” TV show. Star of Sexxy, Jennifer Romas, will be there, too!
Brian Shapiro, host of The Vegas Take radio show, will be in the tournament and making a special appearance will be Lydia Ansel, DJ/Electric Violinist and others to be announced.

Registration will take place at 11am on the day of the tournament. Cards in the air at 12 noon.
The players in the tournament will compete at No Limit Texas Hold’em with a $120 buy-in and unlimited $60 add-ins and re-buys during the first four levels. $50 from each paid entry plus $30 from all add-ons and re-buys will be donated to the U.S. Vets Charity. Bust a celebrity and Binion’s will donate $100 to the Charity. Binion’s will also donate all operational fees. Any and all prize money won by a celebrity will be donated to the Charity.
