Wine Amplified Adds Bands to Two-Day Festival Lineup Headlined by Blink-182 and Train

and MGM Resorts International announced several new bands will perform at this year’s expanded Wine Amplified Festival Friday, Oct. 10 and Saturday, Oct. 11. These acts will join the lineup headlined by Blink-182 (pictured) and Train.

The ninth annual Wine Amplified Festival will transform the 15-acre MGM Resorts Village, located on Las Vegas Blvd. across from Luxor Hotel and Casino, into a sublime slice of wine country.

Featured acts on the Beach Stage will include New Beat Fund, Magic Giant, Van Lady Love, Pet Tigers, Avalon Landing, The Dirty Hooks, Almost Normal, Jordan Mitchell, Ryan White Mahoney and The Perks. The Beach Stage will offer a beachside oasis complete with 125 tons of sand, palm trees and an enormous waterslide. Friday’s lineup on the main stage will include headliner Train, Michael Franti and Spearhead, Better than Ezra, Of Verona and Ayron Jones & The Way while Saturday’s main stage lineup includes headliner Blink-182, as well as Violent Femmes, Magic!, The Mowgli’s, and Mystic Roots Band.

Bands will perform on a massive main stage set with the backdrop of Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino. In addition to the performances on the Beach Stage and main stage set, Frankie Moreno will be hosting and performing Saturday night at the Shellback Rum Speakeasy, powered by Gibson Guitar Brands.

The centerpiece of the venue will be The Barrel, framed along two sides by The Wine Trail. At 520 feet-long, The Wine Trail is shaped like a wine glass and will be lined with more than 40 wineries as well as a Southern Wine & Spirits Libation Lounge offering specialty cocktails, tequila tastings, margaritas and more. The Barrel will recreate a quintessential wine country tasting experience with 30 wineries and 10 craft beer suites spread around a massive 160-foot wine barrel. In all, more than 150 wines from 60 wineries will be poured at the event, including Caymus, Justin, Ferrari-Carano, Francis Coppola and Chateau Ste. Michelle, all featured wineries presented by Southern Wine & Spirits of Nevada.

New to this year’s Wine Amplified Festival will be Food Truck Blvd, set to offer a variety of delicious food options from more than 12 top gourmet food trucks within the Las Vegas Valley and surrounding states. Additional festival offerings will include a Craft Beer Garden featuring 25 craft beers, a Bubbles Bar, Reserve Row, Sip & Sound Lounge, and Barrel Room/Wine Cave all presented by Southern Wine & Spirits. Just outside The Wine Trail, “The Farm” will offer unique beverages and live acoustic performances set among bales of straw.

General admission tickets are priced at $69 per day and $129 for a two-day pass. VIP tickets are priced at $159 per day and $299 for a two-day pass. In addition to general admission offerings, VIP tickets also include access to a premium VIP stage viewing area, complimentary snacks and sodas, hand-selected VIP wines available for purchase, and complimentary wine happy hours from 4-6 p.m. each day. Wine Amplified will be one of the first music festivals in the nation to go completely “cashless,” using RFID technology. Festival attendees can load Festival Bucks – the official currency of the Wine Amplified Festival – onto their wristbands in advance or onsite and then used their wristbands to make all purchases during the event. They can even activate the auto top-up feature to automatically reload Festival Bucks onto their wristband if their account falls below a predetermined amount. Any unused Festival Bucks will be fully refunded after the festival. Every ticket purchased in advanced will include FREE Festival Bucks – $10/ day is included with a General Admission ticket and $20/ day with a VIP ticket purchase.
