World’s First Videolounge Gamebar to Open in Las Vegas Spring 2011

INSERT COIN(S), a 7,000 square-foot lounge, bar and nightclub devoted exclusively to video games, will open its doors in April 2011 in the Fremont East district of Las Vegas.

The expansive space will be home to more than 45 refurbished classic arcade cabinets and 40 video game consoles – all with HDTVs — ranging from the Atari 2600 to the Super Nintendo to the Xbox 360.

Founder Christopher LaPorte says INSERT COIN(S) will bring a fresh concept to the Las Vegas entertainment scene, by reinventing the traditional arcade and nightclub while energizing the strong social aspects of gaming.

Sporting a 12-foot X 5-foot HD video wall for both gaming and music video content and an endless inventory of games spanning decades, INSERT COIN(S) is the first establishment of its kind anywhere. Its timing coincides perfectly with the resurgence of downtown Las Vegas, where the establishment is expected to quickly become a popular attraction.

With hours of operation from noon to 4 a.m. daily, INSERT COIN(S) will provide a unique and exceptional experience. The venue will serve as home base for renowned Video DJ crew ScreenWerks; dozens of video screens will feature cutting-edge music and video content nightly.

The innovative “videolounge gamebar” has been designed as an ideal venue for videogame tournaments, private parties, corporate events and product launches. In addition, with unprecedented fiber-optics connectivity, INSERT COIN(S) enables convenient internet crossplay, allowing guests to easily game with anyone in the bar — or anyone else in the world.

Guests will also find many of the popular amenities they’ve come to associate with their favorite night clubs, including special guest DJ performances, cocktail waitresses who’ll provide game menus – and even bottle service by request.

Watch for updates as the highly anticipated opening draws near.
