“Merry Christmas Las Vegas” to Feature “The Las Vegas Young Entertainers” Dec. 12

Once again the time of year is approaching when Las Vegas shines through in the celebration of community spirit.

On Sunday, December 12 at 2 p.m., the producers of the award-winning weekly television show, Entertainment Las Vegas Style, present Merry Christmas Las Vegas featuring The Las Vegas Young Entertainers holiday benefit, and keeping the Christmas spirit alive in Las Vegas.

“The Las Vegas Young Entertainers,” founded by Helen Joy and directed by Sandi Jones, and television personality / entertainer Tony Sacca, have been invited to perform for the holiday season celebration in Washington, D.C. to represent our great city. Our goal is to raise the money to offset the cost of the trip for 21 young entertainers ranging in age from 6 to 18 years old, and chaperones who are working hard to prepare for their upcoming performance in Washington, D.C.

Merry Christmas Las Vegas is a joyful program of seasonal song and laughter and is presented as a Christmas gift from the headliners of the ‘Entertainment Capital of the World,’ in support of the children known as “The Las Vegas Young Entertainers” through the Youth Foundation for the Performing Arts.

Helen Joy, founder and director of The Las Vegas Young Entertainers, was a singer, dancer and entertainer, who headlined for many years in Las Vegas. Helen also traveled the world bringing a ray of sunshine to the troops during the Vietnam War. Today, Sandi Jones, a native Las Vegan and former student of Helen herself, was personally asked by Helen, before her passing in 2009, to continue Helen’s legacy as the new Director of The Las Vegas Young Entertainers.

Enjoy an afternoon of holiday cheer featuring The Las Vegas Young Entertainers and Las Vegas’ finest entertainers, who donate their time and talent, performing in the holiday spirit. The benefit concert will take place at the Las Vegas Rocks Café in the Embassy Theatre, hosted by Tony Sacca, to benefit The Youth Foundation for the Performing Arts 501 (c) (3).

Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 at the door, and are tax deductible. Call (702) 364-8669.

The Café is located at 450 Fremont St, downtown Las Vegas. (There’s easy access parking on Fourth Street between Fremont Street and Ogden in the underground Neonopolis Parking Garage).
