10th Annual 98.5 KLUC Chet Buchanan and the Morning Zoo Toy Drive begins Dec. 4

98.5 KLUC’s Chet Buchanan & the Morning Zoo have teamed up once again with HELP of Southern Nevada, Findlay Toyota, NV Energy, Albertson’s, Embarq, Super Pawn, Nevada Federal Credit Union, Star Smiles Children’s Dentistry, and Lowell Caro Jr. – Realtor for the “10th Annual 98.5 KLUC Chet Buchanan and the Morning Zoo Toy Drive.” Heralded as the Largest Single Location Toy Drive in the World, this year’s event will take place beginning Thursday, December 4th and run 24 hours a day until it’s culmination on Monday, December 15 at 10am.

Chet Buchanan, host of “Chet Buchanan & the Morning Zoo” will live atop a 30-foot scaffolding at NV Energy, 24 hours a day, beginning Thursday, December 4th at 7:30am. As in years past, Mayor Oscar Goodman will be in attendance to officially kick off the event. Numerous local and national celebrities, as well as, local dignitaries are scheduled to appear during Toy Drive.

New, unwrapped toys, bikes and gift cards can be donated at the Toy Drive located at NV Energy, 6226 West Sahara. Cash donations are also acceptable.

During the last nine years, the 98.5 KLUC Chet Buchanan and the Morning Zoo Toy Drive has collected toys for less fortunate children throughout Southern Nevada. Last year, 98.5 KLUC listeners donated enough toys to fill 13 50-foot Albertson’s tractor trailers, nearly 2,400 new bicycles and more than $67,000 in gift cards. HELP of Southern Nevada was able to supply toys to over 3,000 families, 13,000 children and over 30 charities throughout Southern Nevada
