Academy of Nevada Ballet Theatre Holds Annual Open House August 24

The Academy of Nevada Ballet Theatre’s annual Ballet & Dance Open House takes place Wednesday, August 24, 2016. 

This interactive and engaging annual event will kick-off an exciting new season of classes for all ages including Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Music and Movement; Tap, Hip-Hop, Contemporary, Character, Theatre Dance, Modern and more. Classes for the 2016 fall season begin on Monday, August 29.

Guests can meet Nevada Ballet Theatre’s Academy faculty and staff, as well as current students.

As part of the Open House, attendees will be able to:

• Register for classes and experience the fun of a live performance by the students themselves
• Register to audition for the annual winter classic The Nutcracker
• Take part in mini dance classes taught by Academy instructors
• Learn more about the Academy’s Ballet and Dance Competition opportunities
• Get a behind-the-scenes look at the NBT wardrobe department and browse through hundreds of costumes from past performances that will be on sale
• Learn to create the perfect ballet bun
